ADMIN: Friendly TSF Reminder

We’re all here to have fun, right?

Well you know what’s not fun?

God-modding, Magic!Anon abuse, and player harassment.

God-modding is forcing another player’s character to do things against the wishes of the player. This differs from Magic!Anon in that players can choose to respond to a Magic!Anon, while they have no such option with god-modding. Example: During an RP between Cyborg Raiden and Ocelot, Raiden’s player writes that Raiden slices at Ocelot. Rather than wait for Ocelot’s player to respond, Raiden’s player says that Ocelot is sliced in two.

Magic!Anon abuse is the use of Magic!Anon to affect another player’s character in a way that is to the benefit of the Magic!Anon player’s character. Example: Rosemary’s player sends a Magic!Anon to Cyborg Raiden that makes him turn human and fall madly in love with Rosemary.

Player harassment is the act of bothering another player via Tumblr, Skype, e-mail, or instant messenger. This contact is often unwanted and is quite distressing for the player being harassed. Example: Grandpa Big Boss’s player starts talking to Rosemary’s player on Skype, complaining about life, the universe, and everything, including TSF. After a while, Rosemary’s player kindly asks Grandpa Big Boss’s player to stop talking to her. Rather than listen, Grandpa Big Boss’s player continues to send Rosemary’s player messages and gets defensive about the complaining. Rosemary’s player is eventually forced to block Grandpa Big Boss’s player in order to escape the messages.

Players discovered to have been abusing Magic!Anon to enact their wishes upon another player’s character will receive an official warning. After three such warnings, the player will be removed from TSF.

Players discovered to have been god-modding will receive one official warning. If god-modding continues, the player will be removed from TSF.

Players discovered to have been involved in player harassment may be removed from TSF without warning at the Admin’s discretion.

This is Official TSF Policy.

ADMIN: TSF THREE STRIKES SYSTEM CLARIFICATION

Firstly, a warning may be handed out not only for flagrant out of character behavior, but also for inconsistency in characterization.

Secondly, the character history would be an essay based on the history of the character with references. The player would be able to show where in the history their characterization comes from, and explain why they made those character choices. Do not forget, characters are shaped by the times they are in, the places they are from, and the circumstances in which they exist. This essay allows the player to explore all of that and show their comprehension and viewpoint.

Thirdly, while warnings can only be handed out by the Admin, they will be made with careful player consensus. Players may alert the mod to behavior that is inconsistent or out of character.

ADMIN: TSF THREE STRIKES SYSTEM

We all like to have fun, right? And we all like evolving our characterization. That’s what TSF is about: MGS characters mucking about on Tumblr and the relationships therein!

Sometimes, however, we get a little too crazy.

This is where the Three Strikes System comes in.

If the Admin is made aware of truly outrageous and out of character behavior, the player in question will receive a warning. After three such warnings, the player in question will be required to submit a full written character history to the TSF Admin or be removed from TSF. The Admin will be following up on reference links. Yes, this will be like a college paper, and while that’s no fun, neither is dealing with outrageous OOC behavior.

Consider yourselves warned.

ADMIN: DO YOU KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS TOMORROW?

The times are changing…

shifting…

twisting into a double helix of time and space…

Time is folding in on itself.

On April 29th, 2012… a door appears.

It appears in every time pocket, from 1964 to 2014. It leads to the new, merged timeline. You can use this door to get back and forth between times, if you wish to stay in your own time. But it is always there, for you to go through and visit other people.

Are you ready to step through the door?

ADMIN POST: OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Recently I, as the Admin, received the following message in my inbox:

I, in fact, do mind when people contact this blog anonymously with the intent to affect TSF policy. When a player comes to me with concerns, I keep it confidential, but I have to know who is coming to me with concerns. For all I know, it could be a troll.

I also refuse to put up private information for the entirety of Tumblr to see. It’s dangerous and irresponsible. If players wish to share their information, that is their decision, but as a moderator I refuse to cross that line of privacy and potentially endanger my players.

Today, this was posted:

Now that I have a blog to associate with the anonymous request, I can address it.

I refuse to have petty bullshit drama in this RP. You do NOT threaten to delete your blog if policy is not changed. You are NOT the one who decides the policy in this RP.

AS OF TODAY, ASKROOKIEMERYL IS NO LONGER A MEMBER OF TSF AND HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE ROSTER.

REBLOG THIS POST.

Anonymous asked: How did you get the Motto?

The TSF Motto (May The World Have World Peace And Nice Asses) came from a very interesting night where Sniper Wolf got drunk and posted that on her blog. The other members loved it so much that they suggested that it become the motto. And considering some of the fine asses in Metal Gear, it’s quite appropriate.
